If you’re like me and are a movie lover, you are well aware that 1976 was the year that many people finally started to get into the action flick genre. This is because the movie industry was in a bit of a slump in the mid-70s and it was especially hard to catch up on the action fare.
Back in 1976, however, the market was pretty dead. The only movies that were widely seen were the bad ones. But, I guess that makes you an expert in the field of bad movies. Anyway, I was going to put this down as being one of the “weird” movies of 1976 and not the “biggest” one, but, after seeing this trailer, I’m thinking that maybe I was wrong.
Okay, so, the trailer for what is pretty much a re-made version of the movie. The main difference is that it’s kind of a big-budget movie made by a big-budget studio. We’re watching the same guy who directed the original in the same role. We see him as the master of the martial arts, a guy who has a huge ego and can literally hurt anyone who gets in his way.
The thing that really impressed me about this trailer, and the one that really got me, is that it’s very much like the original. There’s a lot of martial arts, lots of big-budget special effects, and not a lot of big ideas. So I can’t help but see this one as a lot like the original, but more like a re-make. I also think it’s one of those movies that could be worth renting for the same price as the original.
The original movie was great; it’s probably the only movie that was good enough for a kid who was too scared of the new world to enjoy it. But even if you’re in the “real” world, it has a more powerful effect than the other movies. The movie is a great one, and its story is well-written and brilliant. The trailer is pretty good, and I really enjoyed it.
You really can’t complain about the movie as it is so much better than the original. It might be a re-make, but it’s still a damn fine movie and a worthy sequel to the original.
I can’t say that I’ve seen the other movies in the series, but I have seen the original film. This sequel, Deathloop, is one of the best movies of 1976. It’s a fun story with cool powers, cool clothes, and cool music. It’s not the best movie by a long shot, but its damn close.
