I’ve heard many inspirational quotes about believing in the one you are. From, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, they can, and when we allow them to do so, we create the change we deserve.” to “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
The truth is, we don’t really need to start believing in ourselves until we know what that small group of thoughtful, committed citizens is. It is probably too late to start now that we know the truth. But there is always hope. We can’t let the future define us. If we don’t, we’ll become nothing.
So how do you get a group of like-minded folks to believe in themselves? Look at an inspiring quote. Go to the top of our home page and look at the quotes that have been written about self-belief. You will probably find a few that are not entirely positive but most of them are. We encourage you to read some of them.
It’s been said that self-belief is the most potent of all the motivational tools available to us. It is easy to believe in yourself, even when everyone else around you is telling you it isn’t possible. As long as you believe in yourself, it can never be impossible.
You may be thinking, “Self-belief is a great idea. Just think of all the people who believe in themselves and then come back tomorrow and tell me they’re not really self-aware.” But you’d be wrong. If you stop believing in yourself on a daily basis, you’ll quickly find out that you’re not a very good self-aware person.
As I mentioned earlier, we are all on autopilot. We’re all stuck in this endless loop of thoughts and actions that lead us nowhere. We’re not aware of our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions. We don’t even know what we are doing while we’re doing it, so we just go with it. We may even think we are doing it out of love for ourselves or something like that, but we are most likely not.
There is something to be said for not being able to control our thoughts and actions. We should be aware of how we are doing things in order to correct our mistakes and avoid the same problems in the future. The important aspect is how we do it, not how we want to do it.
For the most part, we are in a state of autopilot. We probably do all of these things unconsciously. We may not even know we are doing it, but it happens.
In my own case, I’ve found that it has been pretty easy to change things up since I was a kid. I used to play video games all day long. If someone said something that I didn’t like, I would go into the bedroom and listen to music and read books and watch TV. If I didn’t like those things, I would go to the mall and hang out with friends instead.
